the 'augarten'
The 'Augarten' is Vienna’s oldest Baroque garden. Since 1928 the formerly imperial complex has been the property of the Republic of Austria, and is now managed by the Federal Gardens. Since the year 2000 the 'Augarten' has been listed as a historic monument. It is a valuable green area for the residents of the surrounding city districts.

by car
For most of the streets around the 'Augarten' you do not have to pay parking fees on Saturday, BUT there are exemptions! In order to avoid misunderstandings we suggest taking a look at the website of the city of Vienna before. Moreover, watch out for parking areas reserved for district residents. Using them illegitimately can result in substantial financial penalties.
